1 - 7 May marks Strangles Awareness Week and to help raise awareness we’re taking part in the Strangles Awareness Week Big Thermometer Giveaway.
We have 10 thermometers to give away, and to be in with a chance of winning all you need to do is enter over on our Facebook page. Simply comment on the competition post with a picture of your horse, pony or donkey and what you think the healthy temperature range is for horses.
We will be selecting 10 winners at random to receive one thermometer each.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram. This promotion is only open to UK residents aged 18 years or over. Excludes employees and immediate families of the promoter or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
Promotion Period: Entry opens at 5pm Friday 21st April 2023 and closes at 5pm Thursday 27th April 2023.
To enter: Comment with a picture of your horse, pony or donkey and comment telling us what you think the healthy temperature range is for horses on the selected post on the Paragon Veterinary Group - Equine Facebook page.
Only one entry per person. No purchase necessary. Prize draw only open to UK residents aged 18 years or over. Prize must be collected from the Newbiggin or Dalston practice. The 10 winners will be selected at random after the closing date by an independent judge from all entries received. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into in regards to entries made after the closing date.
The prize: Thermometer (There will be 10 winners, and each winner will receive one thermometer)
Winner notification: The winners will be notified on Facebook within 48 hours of the competition closing via a ‘reply’ message directly to their Facebook inbox or via a comment on their entry. The winners must then direct message Paragon Veterinary Group - Equine Facebook page for more information. If a winner is not contactable or fails to return contact within 24 hours after initial contact, the winner will be disqualified and a reserve entrant selected using the same process.
If a winner is unable to collect their prize from the Newbiggin or Dalston practice, they will be disqualified and a reserve entrant will be selected using the same notification process.
The winners may be requested to participate in publicity arising from the promotion, but will not be obliged to do so. However, the winner accepts that their first and last name may be disclosed by Paragon Veterinary Group - Equine on Facebook.
